An anniversary!
My goodness — I just realized today is the 1-year anniversary of Eat Drink Run Woman! (Although given what happened during my 20-mile run, “Eat Drink Can’tRun Woman” is more precise).

I have just started following your blog and wanted to let you know you inspire me to get in my shoes and out the door! And? I have a son (age 9 – but he’s very serious about it) who wants to be a chef. We talk a lot about restaurants but after seeing the phrase “personal chef” on your blog – I have a whole new area for him to research! Thank you for your insights – about running, life, community, etc. I’ll be back often!

Happy Anniversary. I always enjoy your blog and always find some inspiration here. 40lbs, eh?
Hope your calf is healing. It’s so hard to know what pain to run through and what pain means stop. I hope this is very temporary.

Calyx — thank you for stopping by and for the kind words! I’m so glad to hear I inspire people.
And thank you Nancy for the get-well wishes. The calf is indeed better today, but I’m going to take today off from running and head to the pool instead. Hitting the 200-mark won’t mean a darn thing if it results in not being able to run even 1 mile in April!

Woo! What is the traditional gift, paper? Maybe toilet paper would be more apropos—ah the GI delights that runners share!

I must clarify — it’s “Can’tRun” because of my calf strain, NOT “I’veGotTheRuns” because of GI issues!!!
(Although now that I’ve said that I’m sure I’ll become afflicted).
